The inpatient rehabilitation team consists of highly trained professionals with advanced degrees and certifications who address complex medical conditions in the acute care environment. The team collaborates closely with physicians surgeons nurses social workers case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients functional needs are met and optimized for safe discharge to home or another care setting.

JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES

Screen evaluate and diagnose patients with speech language cognitive and/or swallowing disorders.
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
-
Provide therapeutic interventions and professional consultations.
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery and safe discharge planning.

Document evaluations progress and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification / Licensure:

Current Hawai i State license as a Speech Language Pathologist (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).

Current BLS/HCP CPR certification.
-
Completion of a FEES (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow) course. If not completed prior to hire must be completed within six (6) months of employment.
