Job Summary
This position cares for patients before during and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This position cares for Structural heart Interventional Radiology Diagnostic / planned intervention Neuro Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment pre-medication documentation of procedural process post-procedure care and patient education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(35%)* Performs nursing care of the cardiac catheterization Structural heart Interventional Radiology Diagnostic / planned intervention Neuro Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients.
(35%)* Calculates cardiac output performs hemodynamic monitoring procedural set up and operates life saving equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) Impella etc. Transfers patients stocks supplies and performs basic office procedures. Scrubbing cases.
(15%)* Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
(15%)* Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases sterically drop procedural supplies on tray
Requirement description :
- Cath Lab RN Experience - REQUIRED
- Experience with Patient Sedation - REQUIRED
- Travel Work Experience - PREFERRED
- Epic EMR Experience - PREFERRED
- Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction for ONLY 1-13week contract)
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION
(Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)
- Work History
- Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the speciality (Cath Lab) - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- LARA and/or Nursys must state Active Michigan/MI License - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- Active American Heart Association BLS - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
- Active American Heart Association ACLS - REQUIRED DOCUMENT
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
- Michigan
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must be active!
Weekend Requirements : For Call Rotation (every other weekend potential to move to every third)
On Call Requirements : Call Required (10-15 days of call per month)
