Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking RN Med/Surgfor an exciting Travel or Local job inNew York NY.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans with healthcare team
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients
Prepare administer and record prescribed medications
Change dressings insert catheters and start IVs
Adjust specialized medical equipment and record measurements
Monitor patient vitals and report adverse medication reactions promptly
Collaborate with healthcare team on discharge planning
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-operative care
Maintain and update patient files charts and medical records
Follow nursing standards protocols and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience in acute care or post-acute facility
Recent experience within the past year
Physical assessment medication administration wound care infection control
IV therapy post-operative care patient education telemetry monitoring

Preferred Skills

EPIC EMR experience

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
New York State RN License
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Queens only
