Position Summary: The RN Clinic Family/Internal Medicine provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan supporting both primary care and internal medicine services within the outpatient clinic setting. This role performs patient assessments assists with treatments and minor procedures coordinates care plans and supports the management of both chronic and acute health conditions. Working collaboratively with physicians advanced practice providers and clinic staff the RN helps ensure care is delivered safely efficiently and in alignment with clinical standards and organizational policies. The position functions within a supportive team-based environment where communication coordination and shared responsibility are essential. Through accurate documentation patient-centered education and consistent collaboration the RN Clinic Family/Internal Medicine supports efficient clinic operations and positive health outcomes for a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments obtain vital signs review medical histories and prepare patients for provider evaluation across a variety of primary and internal medicine visits. Administer immunizations medications and treatments as ordered and assist with in-clinic procedures following established protocols and safety standards. Provide patient education on chronic disease management preventive health medications and follow-up instructions to support improved self-care and long-term wellness. Document assessments interventions and communications accurately and promptly within the electronic health record. Maintain exam room readiness manage clinical supplies and follow infection-prevention and safety procedures to support smooth clinic operations. Coordinate diagnostic testing referrals and care transitions in collaboration with providers ancillary services and satellite clinic locations.
Licenses and Certifications Required Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure. CPR required within orientation period. Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period. Educational Requirements RN program as evidenced by licensure. BSN preferred. Experience Requirements One year or more of professional nursing experience preferred. Clinic experience preferred. Coding experience preferred. Special Skills or Training Requirements May include travel to satellites. Computer use. Trinity community clinics - draw and package lab tests. Physical Requirements: The RN Clinic Family/Internal Medicine frequently stands walks and moves throughout clinic areas while assisting patients and supporting provider needs. The position requires bending reaching and occasional lifting of supplies or patient-related items.
