JOB SUMMARY:
The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering automotive parts to wholesale customers body shops repair facilities and internal dealership departments. This role requires excellent time management customer service skills and the ability to maintain accurate delivery records while representing the dealership in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver parts to wholesale customers body shops and repair facilities in a timely manner
Pick up parts returns cores and other items as needed
Verify correct parts are pulled and match invoices before leaving the dealership
Obtain signatures and proof of delivery for all deliveries
Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
Assist with loading/unloading parts safely (including heavier items when needed)
Handle customer interactions professionally and report any concerns to the Parts Manager
Assist the Parts Department with stocking organizing and putting away inventory when not delivering
Follow dealership safety policies and all traffic laws at all times
Maintain daily delivery logs and paperwork (or electronic delivery tracking)
Report vehicle maintenance issues immediately (oil tires brakes lights etc.)
Support internal deliveries between departments (Service Body Shop Sales)
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong time management and reliability
Professional appearance and good customer service skills
Ability to read invoices part numbers and delivery manifests
Familiarity with local area and ability to navigate efficiently (GPS use required)
Basic computer or scanning device knowledge preferred
Dealership or automotive parts experience preferred but not required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Indoor/outdoor work environment
Driving throughout the local area daily
Exposure to weather conditions while loading/unloading
Fast-paced dealership environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing/walking for extended periods
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Bending reaching carrying pushing pulling
Ability to drive for extended periods
