Site Based/Office/Remote: This is a site based role (5 days a week) with occasional travel to other operational sites as required.

About Us:

Our client plays a crucial role in securing Britains energy supply operating the national gas network that keeps homes businesses and industry running. As an Operations Site Controller youll be the on-site lead for safe efficient operationsensuring critical national infrastructure continues to run smoothly.

Our Operations Site Controller takes charge of safety decisions support the maintenance of key assets and work closely with construction partners to deliver new infrastructure safely and effectively. What youll do:

Youll be the safety and operational lead on site overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring work is carried out safely and to the highest this role you will:

• Manage the safe setting to work for all site activities championing a strong safety culture
• Authorise permission documents and complete safety/technical inspections
• Keep accurate operational records and ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards
• Support the installation commissioning and integration of new assets
• Contribute to emergency response and security procedures as Incident Controller or Site Main Controller
• Monitor third-party work and protect vital plant systems and equipment
• Assist with maintenance activities to improve site performance and asset reliability
• Join the standby rota once fully trained (typically 1 week in every 4-5) responding to a range of site issues

About you:

Youre a handson engineer technician or operative with strong operational and maintenance experience. You take pride in safe working enjoy problem-solving and can stay calm and confident when working under pressure. Key requirements & experience:

• Experience in a mechanical electrical instrumentation or operations discipline
• Strong skills in fault finding maintenance and technical decisionmaking
• Understanding of hazardous-area equipment and Safe Systems of Work
• Knowledge of safety environmental and compliance requirements for UK legislation
• Appreciation of multidisciplinary engineering within Oil & Gas power chemical or process industries
• Full UK car driving license
• Security clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
