The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a charismatic highly motivated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis. This post will be to support children within our school who require individualised creative and purposeful provision. This post is attached to Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) funding and is fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.

We are looking for a special person:

  • To join and further develop our nurturing and inclusive culture that strives for children to reach their full potential
  • To support the learning of children working on individualised learning plans
  • To plan fun creative playful and engaging activities
  • To be reflective and flexible
  • To work within a team in partnership with the SENCo class teachers and other colleagues to support the children in reaching their best outcomes
  • To dynamically risk assess and manage childrens safety
  • To believe in outdoor education and embrace our wonderful grounds and resources
  • To follow our Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance the childrens learning
  • To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners such as Just Right Makaton Visuals structure and routine
  • To have experience of supporting children with challenging needs and behaviour
  • To establish positive relationships with parents and families
