Elevator Service Technician
Delaware Elevator of Florida has an immediate need for Service Technicians to maintain service and repair Elevators in surrounding areas of Southwestern Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment Servicing repairing adjusting and testing machines devices moving parts and equipment that operate based on mechanical & electrical principles in private and public infrastructure environments.
- Must pay close attention to detail when following procedures and operating elevator equipment. Must be alert & able to notice any changes in the elevators performance and determine cause to rectify in timely manner.
- On call rotation (Service Techs) scheduled after hours on regular basis as needed.
- Able to work independently to satisfy customer needs for emergencies entrapments or repairs.
- Able to satisfy fit for duty requirements to perform independently & efficiently. Apprentice will not be scheduled alone for the on-call rotation (until satisfy educational and demonstrated skill requirements).
- Travel: Able to travel as needed (some overnight stay on occasion).
- Repair teams may handle more weight and lifting requirements based on individual projects.
Qualifications:
We require a minimum of 5 years experience working independently as an Elevator Mechanic / Technician and hold valid elevator mechanic credentials will consider state elevator license with additional years of experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and elevator troubleshooting skills with ability to handle physical workload required in fit-for-duty assessment.
