Together we are building a safer more compassionate community. Job Summary Be part of the life-changing work with perpetrators of violence to take responsibility and make changes in their lives. Group facilitators will be part of a team and carry a caseload supporting group sessions. Group Facilitators hired for this position are considered part-time employees and may not work more than 30 hours each week. Primary Responsibilities - Conduct group sessions with perpetrators of domestic violence.
- Become informed regarding best practices when working with perpetrators of domestic violence and the effects of domestic violence on the entire family.
- Learn and utilize therapeutic methods based on trauma-informed care.
- Document case notes in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Write progress reports for the courts and CPS.
- Work in conjunction with SafeNest partners to support domestic violence counseling needs and client case management.
- The Group Therapist will be expected to perform other job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as required.
- Certification to provide Domestic Violence counseling in the State of Nevada is mandatory.
Skills and Qualifications - Certification of Domestic Violence Treatment Provider through DPBH in the State of Nevada is mandatory.
- Knowledge and experience in trauma-informed therapeutic modalities.
- Cultural competency.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Solid time management skills.
- Ability to follow group schedule to meet clients needs.
