The Opportunity:
The Inclusion Alberta Helper provides administrative maintenance and recreation support to ensure smooth operations within the facility. The Inclusion Alberta Helper helps in running the facility efficiently ensuring residents and staff have the support they need for seamless care delivery.
This role assists in handling documentation scheduling communication and general office tasks while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
What Is In It For You:
File physical or digital documents in an organized manner.
Photocopy scan or shred documents as needed.
Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Enter basic information into spreadsheets or databases.
Update contact lists maintenance logs or office supply records.
Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping mopping or wiping surfaces.
Organize supply rooms maintenance closets or workstations.
Help dispose of trash recyclables or scrap materials safely.
Organize clean and store tools and equipment properly.
Checking for any safety concerns that might arise during the program and reporting them.
Reporting any resident or family concerns to the rest of the team.
Assist the recreation team with portering residents to and from programs.
Checking with residents and asking if they would like to join recreation programs.
Taking residents from their room or a common area to the program.
Taking residents back after a program is done.
What You Will Need:
Basic knowledge of office administration.
Must be fluent in English both orally and in writing.
One years experience as healthcare admin customer service front desk or receptionist working in a fast paced and high energy environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word Excel or email programs.
Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and repair techniques.
One or more years of experience in maintenance work.
Skills and knowledge with previous experience in building maintenance work are .
First Aide & CPR certification.
Basic knowledge of recreational and leisure activities.
Training or certification in Recreation Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
