Job Summary
Job Title: Junior– Perfumery
Department: HPC – R&D (CCD)
Location: Kolkata
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced fragrance professional for the Perfumery Team at Emami. This role will drive end-to-end perfume development across our personal care portfolio (skin care hair care deodorants pain management home care feminine hygiene). The candidate should bring strong expertise in fragrance evaluation product development and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Perfume Development: Lead fragrance development for new launches innovations and cost-saving projects across all categories (skin care hair care deos fine fragrances pain management etc.).
Collaboration: Work closely with formulation technology transfer brand and supplier teams to define fragrance briefs specifications and brand objectives.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure fragrance quality regulatory compliance (national & international) and alignment with global standards.
Innovation & Trends: Conduct trend and category analysis with fragrance houses to identify new directions in perfumes.
Workshops & Library: Maintain fragrance library organize perfumery workshops and coordinate expert panel certifications.
Market Mapping: Benchmark Emami products vs. national & international competition.
Vendor Management: Select effective fragrance vendors support cost optimization and ensure smooth technology transfer.
Team Leadership: Train and mentor team members in perfumery and evaluation.
Candidate Profile
Experience: 3years in fragrance/perfumery (preferably with MNCs in personal care) with proven expertise in fragrance evaluation.
Domain Expertise:
Fragrance Development & Evaluation
Personal Care categories (skin care hair care deodorants pain management home care feminine hygiene)
Olfactory expertise (fragrance families notes sensory evaluation)
Formulation knowledge (creams oils shampoos talc etc.)
Regulatory knowledge (National & International fragrance compliance – IFRA etc.)
Skills:
Drafting fragrance briefs (marketing technical commercial)
Vendor management (fragrance houses suppliers)
Trend analysis & category insights
Fragrance performance & quality testing
Team leadership & training.
