Job Summary

Position Summary:
Securian Financial is looking for a curious and motivated Data Engineer whos excited to use data and technology to solve meaningful business this role youll design build and optimize scalable data pipelines that enable artificial intelligence advanced analytics and other enterprise use cases while helping evolve data architecture and patterns to meet changing needs.
Youll collaborate closely with data scientists machine learning engineers product managers technology teams and business partners to deliver trusted secure and accessible data solutions. Along the way youll apply strong data governance practices mentor teammates and continue growing your skills in a fast-moving data and analytics environmentall while turning data into outcomes that drive real business value.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Design build andoptimizedata pipelines and transformations enabling Artificial Intelligence advanced analytics and other enterprise use cases.
- Research recommend implement and drive changes to evolve architecture and patterns to meet quickly changing data requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers data scientists machine learning engineers technology teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements prioritize tasks and deliver data solutions that excite stakeholders and deliver business value.
- Mentor andconsultwith team members and other areas to ensure best practices andoptimaldata solutions are implemented.
- Leverage data governance and data security tooling processes and principles to ensure data is secure easy to find trusted and accessible.
- Devise technical solutions to drive business outcomes based on an understanding of customers businessprocessesand technical requirements.
Qualifications:
- 4 yeardegree in Computer Science related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 2 years of hands-on professional experience working in Data Engineering.
TechnicalSkills: - Experience with tools and concepts related to data and analytics such as ETL data storage options data quality workingwith structured and unstructured data.
- ANSI SQL Skills/Experience
- Cloud knowledge and experience AWS and Snowflake preferred
- Programming experience - Python or Java preferred.
SoftSkills: - Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
- Solid communication skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
- Flexibly and adaptability
#LI-Hybrid**This position willhave a hybrid working arrangement workingin-officefor a minimum of3days aweek.**
