About the RoleWe are seeking experienced OSP Fiber Build QC Supervisors to support and oversee wireline fiber construction projects across multiple Texas markets. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in fiber construction who want to take on a supervisory QC-focused role while remaining active in the will be responsible for maintaining safety quality and production standards while coordinating directly with crews subcontractors and leadership operations. This is a long-term career opportunity with strong stability and field supervision responsibilities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong fiber build experience
- Wireline OSP construction experience (wireless-only backgrounds not considered)
- Construction Engineering or equivalent field experience
- 5 years of experience in telecommunications or utility construction/maintenance
Desired Skills & Experience
- Prior QC inspection or supervisory experience
- CDL preferred
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple crews
Key Responsibilities
- Direct coordinate supervise dispatch train inspect and monitor employees and subcontractors
- Oversee fiber cable placement repair work and site restoration
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements safety standards and production goals
- Maintain daily production sheets and required reporting
- Inspect trucks and equipment for safety and operational readiness
- Participate in daily/weekly operational calls with internal teams and customers
- Resolve field issues and customer complaints
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across teams and partners
Technical Environment
- Underground fiber infrastructure
- Utility trucks and construction equipment
- Hand tools and safety equipment
- Construction software applications
- Microsoft Word Excel Google Suite
Daily Responsibilities
- Supervise QC activities on active fiber construction sites
- Monitor and enforce safety quality and production metrics
- Coordinate with crews subcontractors and operations leadership
- Perform onsite field inspections in various weather conditions
- Support after-hours weekend emergency or on-call work as needed
