Job Summary

La Posada at Pusch Ridge is seeking a passionate and dependable Spanish Instructor to teach classes on our campus to interested residents. Responsibilities include teaching both oral and written Spanish developing and tailoring lesson plans for beginner-level classes and potentially introducing multi-level classes as interest and skill levels grow.

Frequency: 2/week
Days/times to be determined
$45.00/hour class

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

Developing lesson plans and curricula based on a variety of levels and backgrounds.
Providing conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught.
Teaching writing and Spanish composition classes within the framework of the class.
Familiarity on teaching methods materials and language games that can be used in class.
Ability to maintain class(es) communication through email group(s).
Teaching students about Spanish culture which may include festivals traditional food dress and social conventions.
Organizing fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.

Spanish Teacher Requirements:

Bachelors or masters degree in Spanish language literature or an equivalent may be required.
Near native fluency.
A teaching certificate or license may be required.
Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
Detail-oriented and resilient.
