Job Posting: Occupational Therapist -Therapeutic Consultation (VA DD Waiver)
Overview
Community Health and Wellness (CHAW) seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide Therapeutic Consultation under Virginias Developmental Disabilities Waivers (FIS/CL). OT is a consultative service: assess needs create a written OT support plan train and
coach families/caregivers/DSPs and monitor outcomes. This role does not provide ongoing direct therapy.
Responsibilities
Conduct OT assessments and observations.
Develop written OT support plans with strategies/adaptations.
Demonstrate interventions and train families caregivers DSPs.
Participate in annual ISP meetings and team reviews.
Complete Medicaid-compliant documentation (notes reviews training logs summaries).
Qualifications
Occupational Therapist licensed in Virginia
Experience with individuals with ID/DD.
Schedule & Modality
Unit 1 hour; in-person or HIPAA-compliant teleconsultation. Frequency determined by
assessed need and ISP authorization.

Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
