Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking an EPP External Processor Planning Supply Chain Lead. The EPP Supply Chain Lead is accountable for leading the EPP planning group daily EPP operations and EP scrap management. The position is also accountable for identifying gaps and improving existing processes by applying continuous improvement techniques to strengthen our position in the marketplace. Work in close collaboration with the Technical Customer Service as well as Quality group and other functions from within the Supply Chain organization. Work closely with our external metal processors to cultivate outstanding practices to optimize processes and material flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating a sustainable supply chain department in a sophisticated environment that involves coordination across different corporate organizations product lines and operating locations.
- Meeting inventory objectives (cash flow) while maintaining a high level of customer service and on-time performance during a time where the primary assets for this value stream are completely full.
- Optimize EPP process from receipt of Mill through Delivery to FGs POS. which may involve multiple EPP locations and systems.
- Coordinate with other Supply chain departments on the definition and accuracy of SAP planning parameters such as lead times lot sizes safety stocks time fences choices of heuristics and heuristic parameters.
- Serve as escalation point for EPO issues and questions encountered by EPP Planners. Collaborate with EPP-EDI Leader to document and request resolution of issues that require IT help
- Coach the EPP Planning team through development of policies guidelines and SOPs as well as implementation of standard methodologies
- Develop a culture where planning becomes predictive rather than reactive
- Supervise daily scrap levels at EPO locations and take appropriate actions to maintain inventory targets.
- Partner with recycling and logistics teams on weekly scrap direction to support remelts centers
- Handle and Develop BI Page as needed to support the business. Distribute Monthly/Quarterly recovery reports with analysis of product improvement opportunities. Create and distribute other KPIs/Reports as advised by the EPP manager.
- Lead set up and onboarding on new tolling locations that have been Identified as needed. Implement all Novelis quality and EDI standards
- Problem solves and code A/P issues to their resolution in collaboration with NNA A/P team
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in operations logistics supply chain management Engineering or business administration
- Masters Degree in Supply Chain preferred
- Minimum 7 years Supply Chain Experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably aluminum casting rolling and / or recycling
- Experience managing a team- ability to communicate lead drive excellence change and collaboration with all levels
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing process and business policy and practices preferred
- Proficient with SAP (MM PP APO) or similar ERP applications
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to extract data and draw conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to quickly learn new processes systems and software applications
- Proven record of success within a growing fast-paced matrixed organization
- Proficient with MS Excel and MS office applications
- Experience efficiently influencing leading and driving collaboration across functions
- High level of customer service communication and influencing abilities
- Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers
