Cypress Cove Care Center is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our Dietary Services team. If you enjoy preparing nutritious meals take pride in your work and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others wed love to meet you!
Position SummaryThe Part-Time Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals that meet established dietary guidelines and physician-ordered diets while maintaining high standards of food safety cleanliness and quality. This role plays a vital part in supporting the health and well-being of our residents.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to menus recipes and dietary requirements
Follow proper food handling sanitation and safety procedures at all times
Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule
Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen equipment and food storage areas
Assist with inventory food storage and proper labeling
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and nursing teams
Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff
Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (healthcare or long-term care experience a plus)
Knowledge of food safety sanitation and infection control practices
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Dependable punctual and team-oriented
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
