Fresh Start Foods is looking for a motivated Warehouse Lead Hand (Night Shift) to join our team in London Ontario. In this critical role you will coordinate and assist in the supervision of warehouse functions to ensure our customers receive the freshest products. You will act as a key link between the warehouse floor and management ensuring an efficient flow of operations while maintaining a high standard of safety and productivity.

Position: Full-Time Permanent

Schedule: Sunday to Friday 8:00pm - 4:00am (days off will be Saturday and one weekday)

Salary: $21.50/hour (paid on a weekly basis!)

Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do

Daily Coordination: Collaborate with the supervisor to coordinate daily warehouse operations and monitor the receiving selection and loading of products.
Team Leadership: Instruct and check the work of team members while providing essential training on job techniques and safety requirements.
Workflow Management: Monitor and prioritize order fulfillment and investigate inventory or operational variances.
Employee Support: Assist in employee observations for performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
Problem Solving: Resolve warehouse issues conflicts or operational bottlenecks as they arise.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all staff follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while using required PPE.

Required Qualifications/Skills

Experience: At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience is required.
License: Must have Full G License.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Equipment Mastery: Proven ability to operate a PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) and use RF handheld computers.
Safety Awareness: Ability to immediately perceive auditory warning signals (bells horns alarms) for moving equipment.
Physical Stamina: Capable of standing and moving for more than 2/3 of the shift including reaching stooping and crouching.
Lifting Ability: Physically capable of Heavy Work including frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs or more.
Communication: Strong verbal and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Working Conditions

Shift Flexibility: Frequent work during off-shifts nights or weekends is required.
Seasonal Demand: Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to seasonal production demands.
Environment: Work is performed in a warehouse with exposure to noise dust and significant temperature changes (including extreme cold and hot conditions).
