Job Summary

POSITION PURPOSE:

The City of Birmingham (EOE) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Ice Arena Concessions/Sales with the Citys Department of Public Services.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list is not to be treated as all inclusive.

Responsible for greeting the public.
Responsible for managing inventory.
Responsible for handling cash and balancing a cash register.
Responsible for preparing and serving food products.
Additional related responsibilities as assigned.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

Must be willing to work with food preparation.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule up to 28 hours per week including early mornings evenings and weekend shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Line cook experience is preferred.
Experience with public contact is preferred.
