Job Summary

General Summary: The Finance & Accounting Manager leads the monthly close financial reporting and internal control functions for assigned entities within the organization. The role ensures accurate timely and GAAPcompliant financial statements; prepares and reviews journal entries reconciliations and supporting schedules; analyzes results and provides insights to operational leaders; and strengthens financial processes across accounting systems and workflows. The manager serves as a key business partner to entity directors and program teams supports budgeting forecasting audits and compliance requirements and drives continuous improvement through better processes automation and data integrity. Additionally the position provides leadership to accounting staff fostering a culture of accuracy accountability and operational RESPONSIBILITIES:Monthly & Quarterly CloseLead and manage the full monthly close process for assigned entities ensuring accuracy completeness and on-time review and approve journal entries accruals and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and internal close timelines proactively resolving bottlenecks to maintain schedule fidelity across all month-end results to identify variances trends root causes and operational ReportingPrepare monthly financial statements (P&L Balance Sheet Cash Flow) with detailed supporting reporting packages are clear consistent compliant and ready for senior leadership and board entity-level financials into organization-wide reports and reconcile intercompany financial performance into actionable insights for operational leaders and & Internal ControlsStrengthen internal controls and ensure proper documentation across all close and reporting and enhance financial process documentation to support audit readiness and organizational and implement workflow improvements automation opportunities and reporting with IT and system administrators to ensure accuracy reliability and integrity of financial data across EHR ERP and billing & Business PartnershipWork closely with entity directors program managers and operational teams to interpret results and support informed as the primary financial point of contact for assigned entities providing guidance on budgeting forecasting spend management and annual financial audits and tax processes through preparation of accurate schedules and timely responses to auditor Assurance & Continuous ImprovementConduct analytical reviews to identify errors anomalies and opportunities for corrective best practices in close management financial reporting and operational system upgrades new policy rollouts and integration of newly acquired or onboarded entities/ Controls & AuditMaintain a strong internal control environment including documented SOPs and appropriate segregation of compliance with GAAP organizational policies and (if applicable) grant/contract external audits and (if applicable) single audits; prepare audit Process & Data IntegrityServe as a business owner for ERP and accounting systems including integrations with AP automation expense payroll and other finance continuous improvement initiatives such as close acceleration automation data quality improvements and self-service data integrity proper access controls and disciplined change management across financial LeadershipLead develop and mentor accounting staff; establish performance goals coach team members and build talent a culture of accuracy accountability service excellence and proactive :Minimum Experience Required: 6-8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience include 2-4 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close best -on experience with a modern ERP Excel skills (pivot tables lookups index-match data validation error detection) and familiarity with BI/reporting ability to manage multiple deadlines with high accuracy and attention to written and verbal communication skills and ability to partner effectively with cross-functional Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience)REGULATORY:Minimum 18 years of AZ DPS Level I fingerprint clearance card (must maintain valid card throughout employment)CPR First Aid AED certification if required (must maintain throughout employment).Current valid Drivers License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirementsInitial current negative TB test result if required (Employer provides).Questions about this position Contact us
