Position Summary

The Engineering R&D Validation team is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support active research development and validation activities. The intern will work directly alongside test engineers and technicians gaining handson experience in test setup execution data collection and reporting. This role provides meaningful exposure to engineering fundamentals laboratory test methods instrumentation mechanical and electrical systems and the full lifecycle of design validation activities.

This internship is ideal for students who enjoy practical handson engineering work and want to build strong technical and problemsolving skills early in their careers.

What You Will Learn / Gain

Upon completion of this internship the student will gain:

  • Understanding of design validation processes in an active R&D environment
  • Experience supporting tests for mechanical electrical and integrated systems
  • Exposure to instrumentation sensors measurement tools and data acquisition systems
  • Understanding of how engineering requirements translate into test plans
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings schematics and electrical diagrams
  • Hands-on practice in data collection analysis and engineering documentation
  • Strengthened problem-solving troubleshooting and technical communication skills

Education Requirements

  • Currently Pursuing a bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; open to undergraduate students in their 1st through 4th year of study.

Internship Program Criteria

  • Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited U.S. college/university
  • Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred
  • Must be able to complete internship from MayAugust 2026.
  • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week
  • Willingness to learn from others on the job
  • Must be currently residing within the continental U.S.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $20$25 depending on education level and skill set.
