Overview

To build on a strong foundation of achievement and contribute to the realization of its ambitious institutional goals Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Revenue Generation (CS26-191). As the only Division I institution in the Metro East region of St. Louis SIUE Athletics is on the rise. This critical position will work with the departments coaches and staff as well as campus and community colleagues to generate resources to foster competitiveness academic excellence and student-athlete experience.

Why SIUE

Employing more than 2400 faculty and staff members SIUE is one of the largest employers in the Metropolitan St. Louis area. A study by SIUE School of Business faculty shows the University has a $1.3 billion annual economic impact on the region. SIUE Athletics has 16 Division I sports and approximately 280 student-athletes competing in both the Ohio Valley Conference and Mid-American Conference (wrestling). SIUE is coming off the schools first trip to March Madness this position offers an opportunity to be a part of significant growth and momentum.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for assisting in maximizing revenue for the Department of Athletics with specific focus on ticketing and small dollar corporate sponsorships.
  • Includes but is not limited to: ensuring the proper setup of the basketball season in the ticket software serve as the point of contact for all season ticket and mini-plan account holders for mens and womens basketball the development and implementation of a comprehensive ticket sales and operations plan that will generate revenue and attendance at athletic events solicitation of new corporate sponsorships and development and implementation of a merchandising plan.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

-Bachelors degree.
AND
-Bachelors Degree in communications business marketing or related field
-Professional experience in sales including cold calling
-Professional customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience working with a ticket system
-Masters Degree
-Experience in athletic ticket sales
