- Operate refuse collection vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collect waste materials from designated areas and transport them to disposal sites.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations during waste collection and disposal.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate collection routes and schedules.
- Report any issues or incidents encountered during collection to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver preferably in refuse collection or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to waste management.
- Ability to operate heavy vehicles and perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
