Chefs Bay Hospitality are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef on behalf of a prestigious venue in Hull.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and creative culinary professional to take the lead within a dynamic high-volume environment.
The Opportunity
As Head Chef you will take full responsibility for leading kitchen operations ensuring excellence in food quality consistency and service delivery. This role requires a strong leader who can oversee diverse catering operations including restaurant service bar menus private functions and large-scale events.
You will play a key role in shaping menus maintaining operational efficiency and delivering an exceptional guest experience across all food outlets.
This position would suit a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys balancing creativity with commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative high-quality menus across multiple service areas
- Maintain premium food standards across retail and kiosk-style outlets
- Ensure full compliance with food safety health & safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage GP stock control and food cost margins effectively
- Oversee preparation and execution of event catering operations
- Work closely with events and commercial teams to deliver on client expectations
- Manage kitchen administration ordering procedures and supplier documentation
- Recruit train mentor and motivate the kitchen brigade
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness organisation and stock rotation
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining quality and profitability
Requirements

- Demonstrated experience operating at senior chef level within a high-volume quality-led environment Essential
- Relevant culinary qualifications with a commitment to continuous professional development Essential
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting cost control and margin management Essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure
- Thorough understanding of food hygiene and compliance standards
- High attention to detail and passion for delivering quality
- Creative flair with the ability to introduce and execute fresh concepts successfully
