Job Summary
HDPE pipe operator runs sets up and maintains plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-density polyethylene pipes ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. They monitor raw materials adjust machine settings perform minor repairs and maintain safety/housekeeping in the plant. Typical roles require 35 years of experience in extrusion processes.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up operate and troubleshoot HDPE extrusion machinery to produce pipes according to specifications.
Quality Control: Monitor production quality perform and record quality checks and adjust machine parameters to ensure compliance.
Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance such as oiling cleaning and repairing equipment.
Raw Material Handling: Ensure adequate raw materials are available and properly fed into the machines.
Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to safety procedures maintain a clean organized and hazard-free workspace.
Documentation: Maintain production logs reports and records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 1-5 years in plastic extrusion specifically with HDPE pipe manufacturing.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with dies tools and extrusion machinery.
Education: ITI or Diploma in Plastic Technology (e.g. CIPET) is preferred.
Skills: Ability to work in shifts mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and attention to detail.
Physical and Working Conditions
Must be able to work in a sometimes hot noisy or dusty manufacturing environment.
Requires standing for long periods and in some roles working at heights or with heavy machinery.
