This is an administrative role responsible for processing event logistics through work order systems to facilitate IFS to deliver services for internal and external Event Organisers. Join our nimble and dedicated venue management team who schedule venue bookings and work with event organisers to ensure the smooth operation of university venues and services to suit the incoming event. The Venue Management team processes almost 2000 space bookings each year across 15 venues on three campuses. From a booking for a small meeting room through to hosting Graduation in our complex venues. The team is responsible for our venues being ready for these events.
About the Role
As a Venues and Events Officer you will play a vital role in scheduling space bookings and handling the logistics that ensure a venue is an excellent host for an event. Youll work closely with event organisers to interpret their needs fit their event into our multi-purpose venues and coordinate a range of university services to support their event. Your days will be varied and fast-paced combining predominantly administrative duties stakeholder communication and some onsite support to the event organiser.
Flexibility is keythere will be times when youll work outside of standard hours as venue supervisor with time off in lieu provided.
This continuing position is full time at a HEW5 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.
