The Process Control Lead is responsible for ensuring robust Body Shop quality systems through management of the Process Control Plan (PCP) PFMEA processes and Built-In Quality (BIQ) requirements. This includes coordinating PCP updates driving error-proofing and PFMEA risk-reduction activities and serving as the Body Shops PFMEA subject matter expert.
The role supports core joining and fastening processes by overseeing torque systems wrench calibrations torque gun qualifications and weld quality checks. It leads weekly weld meetings monthly Joining Board reviews and collaborates with Production teams to verify daily torque and set-and-run compliance. Additional responsibilities include monitoring equipment calibration supporting surface quality reviews guiding teams on product standards and participating in daily quality meetings to resolve issues and ensure required checks are completed. The role also assists with Safety Stock and Stagnant Car Report oversight.
The Process Control Lead represents the Body Shop in internal and external audits (ISO BIQ torque weld and GQR audits) and acts as the primary contact for Tool Equipment Bulletins and dispense material suppliers (Henkel and Chemico). The position provides ongoing support to Production Shift Leaders Group Leaders and other departments as needed.
