Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of experienced surgeons
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care
- Document patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in patient consultations and discussions
- Stay updated on advancements in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
- Adhere to all safety and quality protocols during surgical operations
- Support the team in research and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Entry-level experience in a clinical or surgical setting
- Strong understanding of cardiothoracic and vascular anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced medical setting
Schedule: 7:45a-4:30p
Call shifts required
Procedures: Pericardiocentesis endocardial biopsies intraaortic balloon pump placement PCI and peripheral vascular interventions and periprocedural management
EMR: CPRS
Any active unrestricted U.S. state medical license accepted
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
