This contract position is on-site providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to our team while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment.
In this role you will play a critical part in diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal issues collaborating closely with our surgical team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in orthopedic care and assist in the management of various surgical procedures and patient consultations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions
- Perform surgical procedures as required
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and rehabilitation
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Participate in departmental meetings and case reviews
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in New York
- Previous experience in orthopedic surgery is preferred
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in orthopedic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Level II Trauma
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call 3-5 or 5-10 consecutive shifts
Annual Volume: 500 cases
No pelvic cases
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
