Job Summary
If you are an Engineer who is passionate about renewable energy sustainability and being an instrumental part of the transition to clean energy Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! As a Lifecycle Proposals Engineer you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the technical and commercial aspects of Lifecycle proposals (Evergreens). The Evergreen program keeps Ovation systems up-to-date by replacing hardware and software components with current technology. This position will have accountability for the technical and commercial offering including system configuration costing internal reviews contractual terms citation and writing and assembling the technical and commercial portion of the proposal. This position is located in our Cranberry Township PA office.

- Develop project cost solutions that meet customer needs minimize technical risk and position Emerson for long-term success.
- Interpret customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and clarify technical and commercial requirements for stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Engineering Technical Advisors Finance Legal Procurement and other Emerson teams to incorporate all necessary information into high-quality proposal documentation.
- Prepare and assemble complete technical and commercial proposal packages that align with customer expectations internal standards and contractual requirements.
- Provide timely professional support to Sales and customers regarding proposal content scope and pricing inquiries.
- Ensure proposal information is generated stored shared and archived in a structured secure and compliant manner.
- Apply and continuously improve best practices tools templates and processes to drive efficiency consistency and quality in proposal efforts.
You accomplish objectives despite ambiguity and complexity. You establish and maintain effective relationships to create a collaborative working environment. You design feedback loops into workflows to deliver continuous improvement.
- BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related STEM field
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear customer-focused messages and documentation.
- Demonstrate strong learning agility specifically in new technologies.
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and balance multiple activities manage deadlines and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Familiarity with structured proposal processes
- Knowledge of Ovation systems power or process automation or lifecycle services.
