We are looking for a Senior PFMA Compliance Specialist who will lead the verification and review of financial transactions to identify quantify and disclose irregular expenditure in line with PFMA requirements. The role supports compliance reporting remediation of outstanding PFMA actions and strengthening internal governance controls.
Key Responsibilities
Lead verification and testing of payments to identify PFMA violations
Apply PFMA compliance procedures to quantify irregular expenditure
Review supply chain management transactions for compliance breaches
Address outstanding actions in the PFMA remedial plan
Support PFMA reporting and governance obligations
Provide guidance and oversight to junior compliance resources
Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of compliance registers
Prepare findings and reports for internal review

Minimum Requirements
Chartered Accountant (SA) registered with SAICA
Minimum 3 years experience quantifying irregular expenditure within government institutions
Proven experience in supply chain management audit and compliance
Strong understanding of PFMA regulations and reporting frameworks
Advanced analytical and financial review skills
