The Logistics Manager oversees the full lifecycle of logistics warehousing and inventory activities with accountability for control accuracy and operational efficiency. This is a mission-critical hands-on leadership role focused on safeguarding stock integrity maintaining seamless inbound and outbound movement ensuring reliable system data and running a secure high-performing warehouse operation.
The role partners closely with Finance Sales and Operations to guarantee alignment between sales invoicing stock movement and delivery with full traceability and compliance at all times. Success in this position depends on a disciplined detail-driven leader who views inventory accuracy system reliability and warehouse standards as absolute priorities. The Logistics Manager is a key custodian of profitability customer experience and the businesss ability to scale effectively.

1. Logistics & Warehouse Management
End-to-end accountability for inventory controls and data integrity across Cin7 and Xero.
Monitoring stock levels and calculating replenishment needs using sales trends lead times and supplier minimums.
Coordinating and running scheduled stocktakes to verify accuracy.
Making sure every SKU and variant is correctly labelled and traceable.
Day-to-day oversight of warehouse staff and operational workflow.
Keeping the warehouse consistently tidy structured and running efficiently.
2. Container Receiving Inbound Inspection & First Article Verification
End-to-end accountability for international containers and large inbound shipments.
Supervising the unloading process from arrival through final clearance.
Carrying out incoming quality inspections on received goods.
Completing first-article checks to confirm specifications before inventory is approved for release.
3. Inventory Oversight Across Sales Channels
Maintaining accurate real-time stock alignment across all selling platforms.
Detecting and resolving discrepancies before they affect operations.
Safeguarding against overselling underselling or incorrect stock representation.
4. Customer Operations & Wholesale Fulfilment
Confirming that every order is picked and dispatched with the correct physical stock.
Tracking deliveries to ensure successful arrival at the correct destination.
Overseeing wholesale retail and B2B fulfilment with full accuracy and ownership.
5. Invoicing & Sales Process Support
Preparing and administering all operational invoices.
Validating invoice details with Cara or Claire prior to release.
Confirming physical stock availability and allocation before any invoice is approved.
6. Facebook Marketplace & On-Site Sales Room
Running public clearance sales through Facebook Marketplace.
Creating and managing approved Facebook advertising.
Ensuring all product descriptions pricing and imagery are accurate and compliant.
Overseeing on-site sales room operations where applicable.
7. Returns Repairs & Salvage
Managing all Takealot return flows end to end.
Coordinating repairs and refurbishments with Ryno.
Evaluating salvageable stock and updating systems accordingly.
8. Staff Leadership Training & HR Compliance
Directing warehouse staff with clear expectations and timelines.
Training teams on systems procedures and quality standards.
Setting the standard for professionalism precision and work ethic.
Enforcing internal policies and basic HR compliance.
9. Quality Control & Accuracy
Maintaining a strict no-error dispatch standard.
Enforcing packaging protocols and dispatch check procedures.
Driving continuous improvement in accuracy and error prevention.
10. Pallets Space & Equipment Readiness
Tracking pallet availability and supply.
Optimising warehouse layout and space utilisation.
Keeping all equipment safe functional and properly maintained.
11. Shoots & Special Logistics Support
Supporting logistics for photoshoots content production or special projects.
Coordinating stock movement and setup as required.
12. Full Stock Counts & Reporting
Planning and executing scheduled full stocktakes.
Performing ad hoc counts when requested.
Reporting discrepancies clearly and addressing root causes.
13. KPIs & Success Metrics
Performance is measured against:
Fully reconciled inventory at month-end.
Transaction error rate under 1%.
Zero unexplained stock losses.
High picking accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Rapid order turnaround.
Real-time stock accuracy across sales platforms.
Minimal cancellations linked to stock errors.
Reduced returns from dispatch or labelling mistakes.
14. Warehouse Opening Closing & Security
Full responsibility for daily opening closing and site security.
Enforcing alarm access and safety protocols without exception.
Maintaining warehouse facilities in operational condition.
15. Weekly Equipment Accountability
Completing end-of-week equipment audits.
Ensuring all tools are returned logged and stored correctly.
Investigating and resolving any discrepancies immediately.
