The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all quality reports and / or claims are sent to the corresponding grower in a minimum time frame. This will avoid refunding growers of losses for quality issues not properly reported.
Key Performance Outputs
Quality Operations
- Ensure every fruit arrival claim ageing or process has a completed quality report.
- Send reports to growers/departments within 48 hours; notify growers if a report is missing.
- Maintain direct communication with quality inspectors to stay updated on inspection plans.
- If product is not inspected create a simulated inspection in the system to show acceptance with customer backup.
- If inspection/report isnt in the main platform it must be re-entered correctly.
Tracking
- Continuously update and check the master tracking document for all inspection reports per lot.
- Highlight lots with quality concerns from origin destination; alert inspectors and report findings to the quality committee.
- Keep a full record of issues and follow-up actions.
Claims Management
- Handle all preclaims claims and quality issues centrally.
- Open a claim file and follow the full claim procedure including documentation and event timeline.
- Coordinate insurance/survey inspections as needed.
- Block inventory when fruit must be held for survey.
- Track and record all expenses linked to the claimed lot.
- Close the claim with final info for liquidation and notify growers.
- All claim closures require approval from QM or superior.
Process Control
- Oversee all fruit processes/handling (related to claims or otherwise).
- Begin with a formal process request to completion quality must check and approve for payment.
- Update all processes in Famous including changes waste materials and special charges.
Inventory Control
- After receiving fruit quality report identify pallets needing action processing or priority shipping.
- Block pallets in Famous if required.
- Follow quality committee guidelines for priority parameters and keep these updated.
- Review inventory daily and report aged or actionrequired pallets (morning roundup).
- Request reinspection for pallets that exceed age parameters.
Reporting & Statistics
Weekly reporting to the strategic team including:
- Quality-on-arrival performance
- Open and closed claims/issues
- Inventory ageing status
- Process performance

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree / graduate certificate in:
- Business Administration Business Analysis Engineering Agronomy or related fields
Experience Rquired:
- At least 3 years in fresh fruit production quality control or inventory control
- Handson experience in quality inspections claims handling or operational QA
- Experience in freshproduce environments is essential
- Prior quality control exposure required
