Job Summary

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting all legal and compliance aspects of the personnel engagement lifecycle for our global operations including drafting and maintenance of employment agreements and templates development and maintenance of workplace policies and managing employment related matters end-to-end. High commercial acumen and pragmatism is required and this role is ideal for an experienced legal professional who has worked within the employment or human resources function of a regional or international company.


Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic risk-balanced employment advice across the full personnel engagement lifecycle including recruitment performance management mobility benefits corporate exercises and more.
  • Knowledge and process ownership of employment and personnel engagement structures (e.g. independent contractors PEOs short term contractors part time personnel etc) for our global operations including:
    • awareness of permitted engagement structures by location;
    • development and management of template documentation including contracts policies handbooks etc; and
    • development and management of external counsel relationships.
  • Own and manage employment related compliance and legal positions with respect to entities globally working with internal or external counsel as required.
  • Prepare and / or review employment offers or other personnel engagement documentation and address contracting issues that may arise.
  • Organize and track information periodically auditing archives for accuracy and completeness maintaining electronic recordkeeping of documents including employment compliance role change and other such information.
  • Proactively monitor key employment and regulatory changes in our operating markets which may impact employment or personnel engagement structures.
  • Liaise with internal and external legal counsel(s) in the development of new in-country employment agreements.
  • Drive development and expansion of global policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration and liaising with Hiring Managers Talent HR Payroll Legal and other functions as needed.


Requirements

  • Strong judgment and ability to make decisions independently and in accordance with established policies.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and application skills; ability to process information quickly and accurately.
  • Strong project management skills and comfortable with a changing environment and a variety of responsibilities. Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite GoogleSuite and cloud storage platforms.

Education & Experience:

  • Second upper Law degree from a reputable university; Bar admission would be an advantage.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the human resources or employment department of a regional or international corporation. Private practice experience in employment law would be a significant advantage.
