Application Engineer

Job Summary

The Application Engineer Vision & Automation is responsible for development integration testing and commissioning of machine vision and automation solutions at customer sites. The role involves working closely with control panels PLCs vision systems robotics and field devices to ensure smooth project execution from design support to site handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement vision-based automation applications for industrial use
  
• Configure and integrate machine vision systems including cameras lenses lighting and controllers
  
• Support PLC integration and communication between vision systems robots and automation panels
  
• Develop and test vision recipes inspection logic and image processing algorithms
  
• Perform I/O testing functional testing FAT & SAT activities
  
• Execute on-site commissioning troubleshooting and system optimization
  
• Coordinate with internal teams (Panel Automation Mechanical) and site electricians
  
• Handle customer technical queries during installation and commissioning
  
• Prepare application documents test reports and commissioning records
  

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Hands-on exposure to machine vision systems and vision software tools
  
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation
  
• Understanding of control panels electrical drawings SLDs and wiring logic
  
• Familiarity with robotics is an added advantage
  
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP Profinet Modbus
  

Requirements

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Instrumentation

Experience

15 years in industrial automation vision systems PLC-based projects or commissioning roles
