We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and support the planning design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects across water and utility systems. The ideal candidate for this role will provide technical expertise in civil design and project engineering with strong exposure to water wastewater and associated infrastructure assets. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes compliance with Australian standards and successful coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.

What Youll Do

Develop and review detailed civil engineering designs for infrastructure projects including roads earthworks water sewer and stormwater systems.
Prepare design documentation calculations technical reports and specifications in accordance with Australian standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead engineering inputs for water-related assets such as desalination facilities pump stations and wastewater treatment systems.
Provide technical support across project lifecycle stages including concept design detailed design and design review phases.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs align with project objectives timelines and quality standards.
Conduct design checks risk assessments and value engineering to improve constructability and efficiency.
Support project engineering activities including scope definition technical issue resolution and engineering deliverables tracking.
Ensure compliance with client requirements and authority standards associated with major Australian water utilities.

Requirements

What You Bring

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or any related field is preferred.
3 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project engineering roles.
Demonstrated Australian engineering experience particularly within water or utility infrastructure projects.
Experience working on projects associated with major water authorities such as Perth Water South Australia Water or Sydney Water.
Strong technical knowledge in civil works including roads earthworks water supply sewer and stormwater systems.
Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar industry-standard tools.
Solid understanding of Australian codes standards and authority requirements for civil infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and collaborate with project teams.
High level of attention to detail problem-solving ability and capability to work independently while supporting broader engineering objectives.
