What you will be doing: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Adult Medicine - Provide comprehensive primary health care including health promotion and disease prevention activities for patients.
- Collaborate with department physicians to provide specialized care and refer patients to consultants for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment procedures.
- Take medical history assess medical conditions and interpret findings.
- Communicate effectively with patients peers and other stakeholders both orally and in writing.
- Maintain timely thorough and accurate written clinical documentation.
- Make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with department and organizational quality measures.
- Use electronic health records and other computer systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience you will need: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Adult Medicine - 1-2 years’ experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care is preferred.
- APRN or PA License in the state of Connecticut.
- Masters Degree in a relevant field.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
