POSITION: Teacher STEM Camp (6 vacancies)
LOCATION: District
PAY RANGE: hourly rate corresponding to salary per the negotiated contract
CALENDAR:
- Planning Dates: May 21st 4:00-6:30pm (outside of regular school hours) June 5 2026 time variable for classroom set up
- Campe Dates: June 8 through June 12 2026 from 7:30am to 3:30PM

SCHOOL DESIGN OVERVIEW:
The STEM Camp is an in-person enrichment program for Newcomer multilingual students in high needs grades geared toward language development alongside content to support and prepare students for their upcoming school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current Mapleton Public Schools employee.
- Must have a current (active)Colorado teaching license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
The STEM Camp Teacher responsibilities include the following:
- Participate in curriculum planning sessions and classroom set up during May/June 2026.
- Prepare/set-up classroom spaces and inventory resources prior to the first day of the STEM Camp time variable June 5 2026
- Plan a 5-day series of engaging lessons that meet the differentiation needs of all participating students.
- Teach your assigned course in collaboration with other team members during the STEM Camp from June 8 through 12 2026
- Develop skills to support newcomers through collaborative professional development.
- Support the organization and supervision of all activities associated with the STEM Camp
- Perform all duties and follow all expectations as assigned by the STEM Camp Coordinator.
- Support/participate in the close-out/clean-up of the STEM Camp.
- Communicate with families.
