The Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) Contracts team is looking for a Manager Contracts who seizes the chance to immerse themselves with several top talent teams to accept and take on some of Raytheons most intriguing and unique contractual opportunities. The successful candidate will lead a significant portion of our $1B portfolio.

This position is tailored for a highly motivated well-organized Contracts professional who embraces thrives and enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment with a focus on professional growth and career advancement. This position is on-site.

In this role you will be responsible for customer communication contract management change management coordination of invoicing fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies legal requirements and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements provide guidance and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally the Manager Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership the Office of General Counsel and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews program management reviews business strategy sessions proposal reviews risk management activities and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio. This position will have 1 direct report.

The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs performance provide guidance and influence outcomes to achieve desired results.

This role is eligible for a Sign-on bonus.

What You Will Do

  • Be the Contracts lead for the development of proposals negotiations contractual agreements contract execution day-to-day administration

  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations achieve company objectives and comply with company policies

  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope

  • Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution

  • Effectively communicate with leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization

  • Leverage excellent relationships with Program Managers Engineering Finance Supply Chain and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business result

  • Manage 1 direct report

  • Work onsite (40 hours per week) at our McKinney TX location

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start date

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration Program/Project Management Supply Chain Management/Administration Procurement/Acquisitions or Finance

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts

  • Ability to partner with others work in a team environment and defer to management as appropriate

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers

  • Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination

  • Experience working in SAP environments

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
