The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) wants you to become our next Systems/Local Area Network (LAN) Administrator. This position provides daily on-call emergency support maintenance development and governance of all enterprise software while also helping customers resolve a variety of user computer issues hardware operation interface with systems and software applications.
- Keeps abreast of current industry trends on cloud-based or relevant software and technologies
- Categorizes isolates and resolves network problems as they arise
- Implements software set-up security fixes software patches and ensures systems are in operational condition with minimal downtime
- Conducts systems analysis identifies and characterizes incidents generates reports and investigates suspicious activities
- Responds to service requests incidents and system problems by troubleshooting and resolving system problems in a timely manner
- Assists in the design development and maintenance of various system applications
- Develops procedures training manuals and conducts presentations
- On-call for system emergencies
- Provides customer service and answers user inquiries regarding software issues hardware operations related to department software and the use and interface of systems and software applications
- Attends training classes meetings and educational seminars required by management to enhance or maintain current programming
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

- Technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the organization

- Creating programming language applications to automate business processes
- Planning designing developing implementing and supporting the ongoing development of ACI applications

- Communicating activities and results as appropriate
Ability to:
- Lift/carry approximately 50 lbs.
- Push/pull approximately 100 lbs.
- Walk/run approximately 1 miles

- Resolve incidents/problems efficiently and effectively
- Communicate with customers at any level of computer knowledge
- Work with minimal guidance
- Regularly participate in reviews of assigned and completed tasks
- Provide relevant metrics when necessary of assigned and completed tasks
- A bachelors degree or three (3) years of experience in systems administration (or equivalent experience)
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and oral communications
