The Role: Salesforce Developer (Salesforce Billing)

Segment: S&P Global Corporate

The Team: We are responsible for the management and improvements of the Business Applications that drive S&P Global. Our team operates across many internal applications from Salesforce Revenue Cloud Oracle ERP Data Warehouse Internal Fulfillment Systems and Workflow tools. You will have the opportunity every single day to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and to develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe.

The Impact: As a Senior Salesforce Revenue Cloud specialist who works in our Revenue Cloud Business System Analyst role you will use your extensive Salesforce Platform skills experience to help lead and improve the S&P Global Salesforce Platforms. You will make strategic decisions on the future state of the platform as well as lead large Platform wide projects on CPQ and Billing projects.

You will leverage your extensive expertise in Salesforce CPQ and Billing to lead large-scale transformation projects make critical design decisions and optimize complex Order-to-Cash processes. Your impact will be measured by the scalability efficiency and intelligence of our revenue systems. This role will position you to lead Order to Cash Technology Implementation and steward our technology stack.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced customizations using Apex (classes triggers batch queueable Platform Events) Visualforce (if applicable) and Lightning (Aura/LWC) ensuring scalability and performance. Having knowledge on Lightning components application events and component to component communication is an added advantage.

  • Drive the design development and deployment of complex Salesforce solutions ensuring adherence to best practices in Agile (SCRUM) methodologies and SDLC principles.

  • Should have good knowledge on Angular JS jQuery JavaScript CSS XML HTML and DHTML in the Salesforce platform.

  • Extensive experience with Debugging methods such as Anonymous Code Block execution and working/writing to System and Developer Logs.

  • Need hands-on experience in deployment tools like (Copado Prodly and Salesforce CLI).

  • Ability to adjust well in new atmosphere and have a great sense of responsibility in execution of any work assigned.

  • Produce system design documents lead technical walkthroughs and present code solutions to the Salesforce Architecture Review Board.

  • Produce high-quality code own the code quality and represent your teams technical output for workstream and product owners.

  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.

  • As a team-member you will be responsible to continuously improve the architecture and mentor junior developers on best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors /Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent.

  • Strong experience in APEX Trigger Design Patterns Salesforce Governor Limits and Salesforce Asynchronous APEX (Batch Queueable Future methods).

  • Experience developing enterprise level Test Classes Mock Interfaces and maintaining 85% code coverage.

  • 3-5 Years of experience in Salesforce application development preferably on an enterprise CPQ and Billing Implementation (Steelbrick Revenue Cloud Vlocity Salesforce Billing or Zuora).

  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. Lightning Web Components JavaScript frameworks like Angular/jQuery) to enhance the user experience within the platform.

  • Experience integrating Salesforce flows and custom APEX with Agentforce to deliver high-impact scalable agent workflows.

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1.

  • Experience with API SOAP messaging and integrations with other enterprise applications.

  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile Test- driven development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Revenue Cloud Consultant & Salesforce Platform Developer 2.

  • Significant functional understanding of billing functionalities such as collections revenue schedules cash application tax and invoice generation.

  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. Lightning Web Components JavaScript frameworks like Angular/jQuery) to enhance the user experience within the platform.

  • Experience integrating Salesforce using external objects graphQL and Salesforce Managed Packages limitations.

  • Experience working in a complex multi-cloud or multi-org Salesforce environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to create technical design documents architectural enterprise design documents and data schema(s).
