Job Summary

Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer to join our team and help design build and maintain modern cloud infrastructure. If you feel at home working with AWS Kubernetes and automation tools wed love to hear from you!

Daily Tasks/Responsibilities:

The service provider will provide the following services on behalf of the client:

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Design and implement IaC using tools like AWS CloudFormation Terraform
Maintain version-controlled infrastructure templates.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates.

CI/CD Pipeline Implementation

Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like:
Jenkins
GitHub Actions
Automate code building testing and deployment

Containerization and Orchestration

Manage Docker-based deployments.
Set up and manage OpenShift / Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS clusters.
Automate container builds deployments and rollbacks.

Release and Deployment Management

Manage software releases and deployments across environments.
Roll back changes when necessary and manage deployment risks.

Performance Optimization

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure.
Use tools like CloudWatch Metrics AWS Lambda Insights and RDS Performance Insights

Core AWS & Cloud Architecture

Strong expertise in AWS services:
- EC2 Auto Scaling ALB/NLB
- VPC (subnets routing NAT peering Transit Gateway)
- IAM (roles policies least privilege)
- S3 DynamoDB CloudFront
Experience with multi-account setups using AWS Organizations
Cost optimization best practices in cloud environments

Infrastructure as Code

Proficiency with Terraform
Ability to write clean reusable modules
Experience with remote state management
Clear separation of environments (dev / stage / prod)

CI/CD & Automation

Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions Jenkins or similar tools
Knowledge of ArgoCD / Flux or other GitOps solutions
Helm and Kubernetes deployment strategies

Containers & Kubernetes

Docker (building optimizing debugging images)
Helm charts
Understanding of Kubernetes networking (ingress basic service mesh concepts)
Security policies within Kubernetes
Autoscaling (HPA cluster autoscaler)

Language Skills

Very good command of English

Soft Skills

Ownership you take responsibility for production systems
Architecture Thinking you anticipate failures before they happen
Communication you can clearly explain infrastructure concepts to developers and stakeholders
