Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Assistant Occupational Therapist you will provide designated occupational therapy-related services as outlined in the patients plan of care all under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Every day you will deliver care and service to a diverse patient population ranging from acutely ill to rehabilitating individuals across neonatal through geriatric age groups.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a profound understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of each individual served ensuring the provision of compassionate and effective therapy that supports their unique needs and promotes their recovery and well-being.
- Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
- Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
- Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
- Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect if identified.
- Understands role of and how to access the Bioethics Committee.
- Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures.
Job Requirements
- Completion of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- CA Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
- Prior OT experience
- Orthopaedic Technologist Certified upon hire
