Semiconductor Maintenance Technician Machine Shop
The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for providing technical expertise and day-to-day work activities for the Chandler Fab/Site Machine Shop.
The Machine Shop Technician is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain and operate the tools equipment and processes for the Chandler Site Machine Shop. These tasks include but are not limited to actions and duties that support on-site Semiconductor Fabs Labs Contractors and Facilities. These activities can include the repair modification or the manufacture of hardware subassemblies exhaust and gas supply lines and machine tooling among other necessary requirements. The technician candidate will be required to maintain stock inventory and order replacements as necessary and be able to produce quantity jobs with efficiency to meet deadline requirements.
The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others effectively communicate using written and verbal skills efficiently manage their work time stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping crawling in confined spaces and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
The position requires working Day Shift 8 hours per day Monday Friday.
Education and Skills:
AA AS AAS in electronics chemistry mechanical or industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
The position requires problem solving collaboration with maintenance technicians and engineers fabrication and machining skills of metals and plastics and proficiency with the use of common Machine Shop tools and equipment including but not limited to:
Welders
Facing tools
Drill press
Band and table saws
Routers
Shears and notchers
Hardinge and Enco lathes
Bridgeport mills
Manual and hydraulic press
Grinders/sanders
Hand tools
Tooling repair kits (helicoils dies tapes)
Experience:
Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is preferred.
