Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for planning developing and implementing programs that enhance patient care quality and improve employee performance. This role oversees nursing unit operations in collaboration with nurse managers monitors clinical performance and supports corrective action initiatives as needed. The Nurse Supervisor also develops and maintains record-keeping systems related to medication errors and staff counseling.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and develop programs to improve patient care outcomes and staff performance
Monitor and evaluate patient care delivery across assigned units
Collaborate with nurse managers to assess unit performance and operational needs
Communicate performance concerns and assist with corrective action processes
Develop and maintain documentation and record-keeping systems including tracking of medication errors and counseling records
Ensure compliance with nursing standards policies and regulatory requirements
Support a culture of safety quality and continuous improvement
