Digital Consultants is seeking a VTC/IPTV/AV Network Intermediate Engineer for our contract supporting the US Army TRADOC VTC/AV Support Services. The Intermediate Engineer will assist the lead engineer in the installation operation and troubleshooting of AV/VTC and networking equipment.
Duties to include:
- Installs pull terminate and test all audio visual (AV) type cables connectors and interfaces
- Ability to install projections screens plasma TVs and different types of speakers
- Installation of VTC/IPTV/AV systems on client sites
- Read blueprints and wire VTC/IPTV/AV racks
- Manage VTC/IPTV/AV projects with various models and makes of equipment
- Know and understand all wire and connector types on all VTC/IPTV/AV related cable.
- Education/Experience: 5 years knowledge and experience in all aspects of the Codian video conferencing system video teleconferencing gatekeepers expressways and design of conference room systems.
- Experienced at operating and troubleshooting with HP networking equipment (switches)
- Expert technical knowledge of VTC IPTV and AV equipment integration operation and compatibility is required
- Has a thorough understanding and working knowledge of testing analyses and corrective action on systems networks hardware and software in a Professional VTC/IPTV/AV environment
- Proficient with the use of the suite of Microsoft products to include but not limited to MS Teams MS Outlook MS Word MS Excel MS Power Point MS SharePoint and MS Visio
- Clearance: Secret
- Certifications: IAT Level I
Desired Skills
- Proficient knowledge of VMWare preferred.
