We are looking for aData Evaluation & Enablement Leadwith strong patient dataexpertisewho isoperationallydrivenanalyticalandpassionateto join us in ourGlobal Data Acquisition and Advanced Analytics team. This position can be based in ourAtlanta Georgia Raleigh North CarolinaorBoston Massachusetts.Thishybridrole(at least 40% of the time in office) is limited to 10%traveldomestically.

About the role

You will help strengthen UCBs data acquisition strategy to meet the evolving data needs of our therapeutic areas and patient populations. You willbuildfluencyacrossdifferent typesof high qualityhealthcare data support scalable data platforms and enhance cross-functional efficiency by enabling stronger data usage and insightsharingacross the enterprise. You will serve as a strategic partner to patientdata usersensuringdata is highquality wellunderstood and fit-for- lead profiling assessment curation and analytical exploration ofpatient-leveldatasets across the product lifecycle as well ascurate and transform data to accelerate insights and improve patient outcomes.

You will also collaborate globally with stakeholders across Data Acquisition Integrated Insights DigitalTechnology/IT RWE Advanced Analytics Medical/HEOR Translational Medicine New Product Planning and Commercial teamssupported by contractorsto ensure data suitability for each use case.

Whatyoulldo

Youwillbe responsible fordriving significant business impact through ensuring we deeply understand the data weacquire and we use it appropriately for data driven decision this role you will:

  • Profile and assess patient-level data for completeness accuracy timeliness and suitability for intended use cases.
  • Identify gaps and recommend remediationoradditionaldata sources.
  • Reviewdata for accuracy consistency and reliability
  • Translate stakeholder questions into targeted data mining and exploratory analysis to deliver actionable insights.
  • Extract andanalyzecohorts patterns and trends tailored to research commercial or operational needs.
  • Evaluate data fitness for specific use cases and advise onadditionalrequirements helping the data user community to use the right data for their questions.
  • Applyexpertisein real-world data (claims labs unstructured data) to support advanced analytics.
  • Mentor deeperexpertiseacross UCBs patient data community
  • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with data acquisition colleagues IT the Data Office Compliance and other analytics and business teams to enable theutilizationof data assets.
  • Ideate and partner with digital technology teams to improve analytics interfaces and data usability

Interested For this rolewerelooking for the followingeducation experienceandskills

  • Bachelors degree in quantitative area
  • Minimum of 3 years experience inanalyzingopen and closed claims dataEHR and otherpatient-level data
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with various forms of patientlevel pharmaceutical data
  • Experience with SQL R Python andother programming languages

Preferred

  • Master/Doctors degree in quantitative area
  • Able to thrive in afastpaced innovative environment whileremainingflexible proactive resourceful and efficient
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Deepexpertisein healthcare data particularly U.S. and ex-U.S. patient-level claims data
  • Strong ability to translate diversepatientdataquestions into analytical approaches
  • Creativity in integrating disparate datasets to solve complex business problems
  • Agile test-and-learn mindset
  • Skilled at tailoring communication to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Creativeproblemsolvingmindset to overcome technical and organizational roadblocks
  • Serviceoriented andresultsdriven with strong motivation to deliver meaningful impact
  • Familiarity with data quality techniques


The reasonably anticipated salary range for this position is $125600-$164900 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge skills experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
