Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Renal Assistant to join our healthcare team in Oakville Canada. As a Renal Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with kidney-related conditions.

  • Assist in the setup operation and monitoring of dialysis equipment
  • Prepare patients for dialysis treatments and monitor their vital signs throughout the procedure
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the dialysis unit
  • Accurately record patient information and treatment details in medical records
  • Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure optimal patient care
  • Educate patients and their families about renal care and treatment procedures
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and concerns during dialysis sessions
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Dialysis Technician (CDT) certification preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferably in renal care or dialysis
  • Strong knowledge of renal care procedures and dialysis equipment
  • Understanding of kidney function and renal disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols
  • Empathetic and supportive attitude towards patients
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist patients as needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Additional Information :

Hours: Monday to Sunday; days and nights 06:00 to 24:00  (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary:  $26.50 to $27.01 per hour
