Consultant, Economic Damages & Valuation

We are seeking a Consultant for our Economic Damages & Valuation (ED&V) team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial highly driven person with a wellrounded skill set to join the ED&V team whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional business valuation roles. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of business valuation but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.
 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in business valuation engagements from project inception through draft stage
• Manage document requests and production
• Perform data input and prepare valuation exhibits
• Participate in client interactions as needed
• Support damages and financial forensic engagements (optional)
   

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree.
• Effective organization skills. 
• Ability to analyze large data sets and simplify/translate into a visual format.  (Ex.: Create a graph of gross profit by zip code Compare company to benchmarks over time Contrast revenue per employee to benchmarks etc.)
• Detail oriented and able to reconcile/check work from multiple perspectives. (ex. Foot/crossfooting of schedules goal seeking compare cash receipts per the bank statements to reported revenue etc.)
• Ability to research industry/economic/benchmark data and apply to subject companies.
• Proficient with Excel and Word. 
• Ability to assist with the writing of valuation reports.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Willing to obtain a relevant business valuation credential (ex. CVA ASA ABV CFA etc.)
• Remote work is an option.
   

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Ability to travel as needed.
