Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Data Engineer (DOS Reda) to join a growing team within a large long-standing public-sector partnership. This role will contribute to data acquisition preparation and management initiatives aimed at modernising services and delivering secure reliable data products at scale while shaping engineering design and strengthening capability across cross-functional Agile teams.
What you will do:
- Design and implement secure robust and performant data integration solutions for batch and near-real-time processing.
- Build operate and enhance data pipelines covering ingestion transformation and curation with monitoring alerting and SLAs in place.
- Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to refine requirements and align solutions to cost performance and security NFRs.
- Support incident resolution activities and ensure continuity of data services.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional teamwork with engineers analysts and business teams.
- Share knowledge mentor colleagues and contribute to engineering communities of practice.
- Apply strong SQL and data modelling practices across solutions.
- Work hands-on with ETL and ELT tooling such as Talend Pentaho DI Informatica AWS Glue or SAS.
- Use databases and data platforms such as Oracle or Cloudera in solution delivery.
- Leverage cloud platforms ideally AWS within data engineering workflows.
- Develop and maintain scripts using languages such as Python or Bash.
- Apply data engineering fundamentals including integration transformation orchestration and version control.
Qualifications :
- Strong experience in data engineering within complex environments.
- Solid SQL knowledge and hands-on data modelling experience.
- Practical experience with ETL or ELT tools such as Talend Pentaho DI Informatica AWS Glue or SAS.
- Experience working with databases or data platforms such as Oracle or Cloudera.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms ideally AWS.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or Bash.
- Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals including integration transformation orchestration and version control.
- Excellent client-facing and consultancy skills.
